A bold new initiative from Welshpool Town Council, the event will celebrate all forms of transport – from boats to horses and a wide variety of vehicles – classic; vintage; commercial and agricultural.
2018 SKATE, BMX & SCOOTER COMPETITION Date: 24 June 2018 Time: 12pm – 3pm Location: Skate Park, Howell Drive Entry: £1 for all categories Participants must wear helmets and their own safety equipment. Saturday 23rd June 2:00pm Welshpool Wharf As part of the Transport Festival a coracle relay race will be held on the Canal Wharf. All equipment is provided and no experience is needed so come along and try it for yourselves. To enter a team of 4 (no entry fee) in these races please contact Welshpool
On Sunday 24th June 2018, the Citroen Traction Owners Club will be passing through Welshpool from Snowden as part of their Welsh Mountains National Rally 2018. They will be stopping off in Welshpool and parking at the steam railway station, Raven Street, between 11am – 1pm (approx) before continuing their journey to Gregynog Hall for lunch.
On Friday 20th April 2018 Col. Richard Graham (USAF Ret) will be returning to the Assembly Room to entertain and captivate us with another illustrated talk. This year he will be giving us an insight into the years he flew the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II “Wild Weasel” on 210 combat missions in Vietnam. Each mission involved
We are pleased to announce that there will be live music during the Welshpool Transport Festival thanks to Music for the Monty. Running in tandem with the Transport Festival, Music for the Monty is a two-day music festival consisting of live music in venues round the town on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. There will also be a fundraising charity
All bus services/connections are FREE
Throughout the weekend there will be a bus service circulating around the town every 30 minutes from outside the Tourist Information Center .
SATURDAY: 10.00am – 12.30pm (No service between 1.00-1.55pm)
2.00pm – 5.00pm
SUNDAY: 10.00am – 2.00pm
PARK & RIDE (Saturday only)
From Welshpool Livestock Market, Buttington, into and from town every 15 minutes from 10.00am until 2.00pm so that you do not have an issue with parking.
